Abstract

ABSTRACT ANISA ULFA, Correlation Between Reputation of Store with Buying Interest of Members at the Cooperative of Sejati Mulia Pasar Minggu South Jakarta, Thesis. Jakarta: Study Program of Economics Education, Concentration of Cooperative Economics Education, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, Januari 2012. Purpose of this research is to find empirical data, valid and reliable fact, about the possibility correlation between correlation between reputation of store with buying interest. The research was conducted at Cooperative of Sejati Mulia Pasar Minggu South Jakarta since May 2011 until November 2011. The research used survey methods by correlation approach. The sampling technique was accidental sampling. The population in this study were all active members at Cooperative of Sejati Mulia Pasar Minggu South Jakarta are amounted to 2457 peoples. Affordable population in this study is the average number of members who shop at the store cooperative per month is around 600 peoples. Samples taken is 10% of the affordable population total as many as 60 peoples. To get data from two variables, researcher using likert scale model for reputation of store (X) and buying interest (Y). For variable X, from 30 statements which had validated, 26 statements were valid and 4 statements were drop. For variable Y, from 30 statements which had validated, 27 statements were validated and 3 statements were drop. The calculation reliability of both variable were using Alpha Cronbach method and variable X reliability is 0,929 and variable Y is 0,925, this proof that the instrument were valid and reliable. Analysis of condition test, which is normality error test for regression approximates of X on Y with liliefors test, results in Lcount = 0,0847, and Ltabel for n = 60 which level significant of 0,05 is 0,1144, because Lcount < Ltabel then normality error test is normal distribution. The equation for linear regression is Y= 27,54+0,802X. Significance regression result in Fcount > Ftabel , is 55,65 > 4,02, it’s mean that the regression equation is significant. And linearity regression test yield, in Fcount < Ftabel is 1,38 < 1,86 that can be interpreted that the regression equation is linear. Result of hypotesis test which pearson’s product moment show’s that rxy = 0,700, then significance of product moment correlation test whith t-test which yields tcount = 7,460 and ttabel =1,67 it can be result that product moment correlation rxy = 0,700 is significance. Coefficient of determined obtain equal to 49%, it’s mean that 49% buying interest determined by reputation of store. The result of this research was shown that there is positive correlation between reputation of store with buying interest.
