Abstract

ABSTRACT NICKI TRI HADIYANTI. Effect of Emotional Intelligence and Job Satisfaction on Organizational Commitment in the PT. Capital Bank Branch South Jakarta Mayor. Thesis, Jakarta: Economic Education Program, Office Administration Concentration of Education, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, University of Jakarta. This study aims to determine whether the effect of Emotional Intelligence and Job Satisfaction on Organizational Commitment in the PT. Capital Bank Branch South Jakarta Mayor. This research was conducted during the months from May to June 2014. Research method used was a survey and observation methods. The population of this study were employees of PT. Capital Bank Branch South Jakarta Mayor numbering 50 people. The samples are 44 people with the use of simple random techniques. All data obtained through primary data in the form of a questionnaire with Likert rating scale models. Data analysis techniques using SPSS 16.0 F test result is known that the F value (27.126)> F (3.21), this means that X 1 (Emotional Intelligence) and X (Job Satisfaction) simultaneously affect Y (Organizational Commitment). T test yields t 2 hitung of X (Emotional Intelligence) by (4.289) and t table of (2.02), because of t (4.289)> t 1 (2.02) it is stated emotional intelligence has a significant direct effect on organizational commitment. While t hitung of X 2 (Job Satisfaction) by (3.265) and t table of (2.02), for t hitung table > t table, it can be concluded that there is a significant direct effect between X (job satisfaction) of the Y variable (organizational commitment). Effect of X1 (emotional intelligence) to Y (organizational commitment) through X 2 (job satisfaction) amounted to 0,248, or 24.8%. And the magnitude of X (job satisfaction) directly affect Y (organizational commitment) is equal to 0.144 or 14.4%. The magnitude of the effect of X (emotional intelligence) to Y (organizational commitment) are moderated by X 1 (job satisfaction) is equal to 0.116. While the total effect of X 2 2 (job satisfaction) to Y (organizational commitment) is equal to 0.993.
