Abstract
ABSTRACT MARGARETHA WIDI UTAMI. The Correlation between Compensation and Organizational Commitment in The Employees of PT. Surya Mitra Majuperkasa at Bekasi. Research, Jakarta: Study Program of Economics Education, Concentration of Office Administration Education, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. June 2015. The purpose of this research is to get a valid and reliable data or fact, to know the the correlation between compensation and organizational commitment on employees in PT. Surya Mitra Majuperkasa at Bekasi. This research have been done three month since March until May 2015. This research used survey method with correlation approachl. The populations research consist of all employees in PT. Surya Mitra Majuperkasa at Bekasi with total 70 employees. While affordability is a population of employees in the production, amounting to 50 employees. Based on the table and sample population with a level of misunderstanding 5% then obtained a sample of 44 employees by using simple random technique (random sampling technique). Data X variable about compensation and data Y variable about organizational commitment used questionnaire. The analysis test by finding regression equation, that is Y = 19,48 + 25,37 X. After that data normality test by using liliefors formula and the result is L count = 0,053 and L =0,134 in significant level 0,05, so L count < L table. Table Mean that the mistake of prediction regression X to Y has normal distribution. For regression sigificance test and the result is, F Count (18,10) > F (4,07) approved that it has significance regression. While regression linearity test,F (1,36) < F (3,38), showing that regression is linear. The result of product moment of correlations coefficient test, is r table =0,549 continued by using correlations coefficient significance test with t-test. Counting result is, t xy (4,25) > t table (1,68). It means that there are significance and positive correlations between compensation with organizational commitment on employess in PT. Surya Mitra Majuperkasa. The result of determination coefficient test is 30,11%, variable on compensation determined by organizational commitment. The conclusion of this research have shown that there is a positive correlations between compensation and commitment organizational. Keywords: Compensation, Organizational Commitment.
