Abstract
DIAH AYU INDRIANI. 8105141513. Influence of Competency and compensation on Teacher Performance in SMP PGRI East Jakarta. Script : Economic Education Study Program, Faculty of Economics. State University Jakarta, 2018. This study aims to find out whether there is an influence of competence and compensation on the teachers of East Jakarta PGRI Middle School. This research was conducted for 3 months from April to July 2018. The research method used was durvey method. The population in this study were all teachers of East Jakarta Junior High School PGRI totaling 73 teachers. The sampling technique used was using questionnaires and secondary data. Based on the analysis of the requirements test, the data is normally distributed and has a linear relationship. Based on the Classic Assumption Test, in the multicollinearity test there is a Tolerance value of competence and compensation of 0.980> 0.01 and a VIF value of 1,020 <10. Regression equation obtained is Y = 20,087 + 0,319 X1 + 0,566 X2. Based on Hypothesis Test consisting of F test and t test. F test size (Fcount> Ftable) that is equal to 14.4750> 3.12. Second, based on the t test (t count> t table) that is the competence of 2.160> 1.666 and compensation of 4.136> 1.666. Based on the coefficient of determination coefficient, competency and compensation for teacher performance simultaneously affect teacher performance by 29.6% while 70.4% is influenced by other factors not examined. The conclusion in this study is that there is a significant positive influence between competencies and compensation for the performance of teachers in East Jakarta SMP PGRI School.
