Abstract
PUTRI AGUSTINA. The Correlation Between Organizational Commitment With Turnover Intention of Autum Electronics’ Employees, Jakarta. Study Program of Commerce Education, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, June 2014. The purpose of this research is to obtain the empirical data and the valid and reliable facts on the correlation between organizational commiment with turnover intention of Autum Electronics’ Employee. The research method used is survey method with the correlational approach. Population in this research is all of PT. Autum Electronics’ employees, where as the possible populations who employees of Box division PT. Autum Electronics, amounting to 36 people. The technique which is used in gathering the sample was simple random sampling about 32 people. To capture data from these two variables are used questionnaire Likert scale models for Organizational Commitment (variable X) and Turnover Intention (Variable Y). Before the instrument is used to tested the validity for both variables. For variable X, from 24 points statement, after statement validated there are 5 points that drop invalid, while meeting the criteria or a valid statement consists of 19 points. For variable Y, From 26 points statement, after statement validated contained 6 points that drop invalid, while meeting the criteria or invalid items comprised 20 statements. Reliability calculation of both variables using Cronbach Alpha formula. The results of the X variable reliability of 0.898 and the reliability of variable Y at 0.890. These results prove that the instrument is reliable. The resulting of the regression equation is Ŷ=122.21-0.75X. Requirements analysis test of the normality test error of estimated regression of Y on X to produce Lcount lilliefors test=0,0990, while the Ltable for n= 32 at 0.05 significant level is 0.157. Because the Lcount<Ltable then an error estimate of Y on X is normally distributed. Testing linearity of regression produces Fcalculated<Ftable is 1,22<2.34, so it was concluded that the linear equation regression. The hypothesis test from significance regression test produces Fcount>Ftable, which is 6.68>4.17, meaning that the regression equation is significant. Correlation coefficient of Pearson Product Moment generating rxy=-0,427, then performed the test significance correlation coefficient using the t test and the resulting tcount=-2,585 and Ttable=1,70. It can be concluded that the correlation coefficient rxy=-0,427 is significant. The coefficient of determination obtained for 18,21% which shows that 18,21% of the variation of turnover intention is determined by the organizational commitment.
