Abstract
DIAN ASRI RAMDHANITIA. Dian Asri Ramdhanitia. Relationship Between Work Environment With Employee Motivation In PT. Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (Persero). Thesis, Jakarta: Commerce Education Program. Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. July 2013. This study aims to get the data / facts right (valid, true, valid) and trustworthy (reliable) on the extent to which relationships work environment with employee motivation at PT. Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (Persero). The research was conducted for 7 months from the month of February through July 2013. The method used was a survey method correlational approach. The population in this study is the employees' PT. Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (Persero) marketing and development division, which amounted to 45 people with a sample of 40 employees is the standard calculations of sampling error of 5%. This sampling technique using simple random sampling technique. To gather data variable X (Work Environment), shaped instrument used a Likert scale and variable Y (Work Motivation) using Likertshaped instrument. Prior to use the instrument for a variable X test construct validity, ie the calculation of the coefficient score points with the total score and reliability tests with Cronbach alpha formula. Results of reliability variable X (Work Environment) of 0.937. Test requirements analysis is done by looking at the regression equation can be is y = 48.86 + 0.6 X. Next is the estimated regression error normality test Y on X using Liliefors test and obtained Lhitung = 0.0946 compared with Ltabel at 0.05 significance level of 0.1401. then Lo <Lt. This means that the estimated error Y on X is normally distributed. While the linearity test result Fcount (1.04) <F table (2.42), this means linear regression models were used. Test the significance of regression F value (12.41)> F (4.10), this proves that the mean regression. Product moment correlation coefficient test result rxy of 0497. Then proceed with the correlation coefficient significance test using the t test. The result is t (3,531), while ttable on df = n  2 = 402 = 38 and a significance level of 0.05 is 1.68, meaning t> t table. Calculating the coefficient of determination produce rxy2 = 0.4972 = 0.2471 This shows that 24.71% variation employee motivation is determined by the condition of the working environment. The conclusion of this study is that there is a positive relationship between work environment with employee motivation at PT. Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (Persero).
