Abstract

ARYOGA DIMAS TRIANDA, The Effect of Principal Leadership and Work Discipline on Teacher Performance at Private Vocational Schools in East Jakarta. This research was conducted in six Private Vocational Schools in East Jakarta, for 6 months from January to June 2019. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of principals' leadership and work discipline on teacher performance in Private Vocational Schools in East Jakarta.,The research method that the researcher uses is themethod survey. The population used is the teacher who teaches at Private Vocational Schools in East Jakarta. The sampling technique used was a Purposive sampling technique of 105 teachers. The resulting regression equation is Ŷ = 65,915 + 0,093X1 + 0,118X2. The requirements analysis test is the normality test with thetest Kolmogorov-Smimov with a significance level (α) = 5% or 0.05 and produces a significant level.Y is worth 0.135. Because the significance level of the three variables is> 0.05, it can be concluded that the data are normally distributed and can be used in subsequent analyzes. The regression linearity test Y for X1 and Y over X2 produces a significance value in linearity, which is 0,000 <0,05, so it is concluded that it has a linear relationship. From the regression significance test Y on X1 and X2 it produces Fcount > Ftable, which is 11.295> 3.08, so it can be concluded that the regression equation is significant. Furthermore, the t test is performed and it is produced Y on X1 tcount = 2.931 ttable = 1.65950, Y on X2 tcount = 2.115 and ttable = 1.65950. The determination coefficient Y for X1 and X2 obtained is 0.370 which indicates that 37% of teacher performance variables are determined by the principal's leadership and work discipline .
