Abstract

REVINA AMRISTA NISA. Gender Gap Analysis in Economic, Education, Health and Political Inequality in Indonesia from 2010 to 2017. Economic Education, Faculty of Economics, Jakarta State University, 2019. Gender equality is one of the sustainable development agendas in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program, which was agreed upon by member states of the United Nations (UN) in 2015, as a continuation of the previous program, Millennium Development Goals. Gender equality is an important problem considering that various national development efforts actually do not provide the same benefits for women and men. For this reason, a serious response from the government is needed to create gender equality to achieve equal access between men and women in decision making, involvement in various aspects of life both in public and domestic spaces. Therefore, this study is present to see how portraits of gender inequality occur in Indonesia, especially in economic, educational, health, and political disparities. This study uses secondary data obtained from the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics. While the method used in this study uses the trend analysis method in 2010-2017 (in quarterly), with indicators of income expenditure, professional staff, income contributions, average length of school, life expectancy, and involvement of women in parliament using Ms. Excel 2013. The results of this study show that economic and political activities in Indonesia are far from gender equality, but in the fields of health and education, gender equality is at a good level.
