Abstract

Rismawati, 2019; The Effect Of Foreign Board Director and Commissioner To Firm Performance On Companies Listed In Kompas 100 Index Period 20132017. Thesis, Jakarta: Study Program of Management, Faculty of Economic, State University of Jakarta. This aim of this study is to determine the Effect Of Foreign Board Director and Commissioner to Firm Performance on Companies Listed In Kompas 100 Period 2013-2017. Independent variable of these study is Foreign Board Director and Commissioner. Dependent variable used is Firm Performance. This study also uses four control variable that are, Board Size, Firm Age, Firm Size, and Growth Opportunity. The data used in this study is annual report of companies that published in Kompas 100 Index during 2013-2017. The sampling method of this study is purposive sampling technique, with 111 research samples. The research model of this study used panel data analysis with Fixed effect Model approach. The empirical result showed that precentation of foreign director have positive significant influence to Tobin’s Q, but have unsignificantly effect to ROA and ROE. Dummy foreign director have positive significant influence to ROA, but have unsignificantly effect to ROE and Tobin’s Q. Precentation of foreign commissioner have negative significant influence to ROE, but have unsignificantly effect to ROA and Tobin’s Q. Dummy foreign commissioner have unsignificantly effect to ROA, ROE and Tobin’s Q. Control variabel board size have unsignificantly effect to ROA,firm age have negative significant influence to ROA, firm size have negative significant influence to Tobin’s Q and growth opportunity have negative and unsignificantly effect to ROE.
