Abstract

ABSTRACT GANEVI MULATSARI TEMBONG. The Correlation Between Self Control with Academic Procrastination of Office Administration Students at SMK Negeri 16 Jakarta. Skripsi, Jakarta: Economic Education Program, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. February 2017. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between self control with academic procrastination at SMK Negeri 16 Jakarta. This research was conducted for three months starting in November 2016 until Januari 2017. The method used is survey with the correlational approach. The population in this research were 205 within reach population 140 students of office administration at SMK Negeri 16 Jakarta. According to the table and sample population with a level of misunderstanding 5% then obtained a sample of 100 students using proportional sampling technique. Data from variable X of the self control is the primary data, in the form of questionnaires and Y about academic procrastination is primary data in the form of questionnaires. Test requirements analysis done is to find the regression equation obtained is Y = 181,92 – 0,642 X. Normality test results Liliefors produce Lcount = 0,068 while Ltabel = 0,079 at the significance level (a) = 0.05 to the number of samples (n) 100. Because Lcount = (0,068) <Ltabel = (0,079) then the variables X and Y have normal distribution. Testing the hypothesis with a significance test of regression produces Fhitung (55,47) > Ftabel (3,96) , which means a significant regression equation. Produce regression linearity test of F (0,72) < Ftabel (1,61) so Fhitung <Ftabel it can be concluded that the model is a linear regression equation. Product moment correlation coefficient generating rhitung = -0,601. T-test produces thitung (-7,45) < t Tabel (-1,66). Thus it can be stated correlation coefficient r xy = -0,601 is significant negative. The coefficient of determination obtained at 36,14% indicates that 36,14% of the variation of academic procrastination determined self control and the remaining influenced by other variables not examined. Based on the results of this research concluded that there is a negative and significant relationship between self control with academic procrastination of office administration students at SMK Negeri 16 Jakarta and suggested for the school to guiding students to good control themselves so that created behavior who disciplines and responsible.
