Abstract

PINKAN ANDRIANNY SUPIT. The Impact of Investment Knowledge, Technology Advances, Return, and Risk towards Investment Intention In The Capital Market. Supervisor: Adam Zakaria, M.Ak., Ph.D and Muhammad Yusuf, S.E., M.M. This study aims to analyze investment knowledge, technology development, returns, and risks to capital market investment intention. The population used in this study is the final year Accounting Study Program students at PTN in the Jakarta area. This study uses primary data using a questionnaire. The number of samples used in this study were 277 final year Accounting Study Program students in the Jakarta State University (UNJ and UPNVJ). The minimum number of samples obtained by this study using the 5% slovin formula and the results obtained were 276.3 so rounded up to 277 students. The dependent variable in this study is Investment Intention. While the independent variables in this study are Investment Knowledge, Technological Progress, Return, and Risk. The independent variable uses multiple regression analysis. The Significance Test Results show that investment knowledge has a significant influence on students' investment intention in the capital market. The better the knowledge of investing in the capital market, the more interested in investing in the capital market. Technological progress has a significant impact on investment intention in the capital market. Offering facilities and infrastructure facilitates students to invest in the capital market. Then, return has a significant influence on investment intention in the capital market. The greater the return that might be obtained, the greater the student's investment intention in the capital market. However, risk does not have an intention in investing in the capital market. Students have considered risk factors as important considerations for investing in the capital market.
