Abstract
NUNIK MARIYASARI, The Correlation Between Career Development With Organizational Commitment Of The Employees At PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operational Area 1 In Jakarta. Study Program of Commerce Education, Department of Economic and Administration, Faculty of Economic, State University of Jakarta, June 2015. The purpose of the research is to gain the right data (authentic, true and valid) and trustworthy (reliable) from relationship between career development with organizational commitment. The research was conducted at PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operational Area 1 in Jakarta, for five months from February 2015 until June 2015. The research method used is survey method with the correlational approach. The population in this research is all employees of PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operational Area 1 in Jakarta, where as the possible populations who employees are General and Administrative Officer in the Human Resources and General Section with HR Sub Section, Document and Internal Homemaking Sub Section and Finance Section as many as 48 people. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling technique as many as 40 people. The resulting regression equation is Ŷ = 35,22 + 0,79 X. Test requirements analysis of the normality test error of estimated regression of Y on X to produce Lcount liliefors test = 0,0910, while the Ltable for n = 40 at 0.05 significant level is = 0,1401. Because the Lcount < Ltable then an error estimate of Y on X is normally distributed. Testing linearity of regression produces Fcount < Ftable, is 1,97 < 2,13, so it was concluded that the linear equation regression. From test Significance regression produces Fcount > Ftable, which is 35,98 > 4,10, meaning that the regression equation is significant. Correlation coefficient of Pearson Product Moment generating rxy = 0,697, then performed the test significance correlation coefficient using the t test and the resulting tcount= 5,998 and ttable = 1,70. It can be concluded that the correlation coefficient rxy = 0,697 is positive and significant. The coefficient of determination obtained for 48,63%, which shows that 48,63% of the variation of organizational commitment is determined by the career development.
