Abstract

AYU WULANDARI APRIYANTI. Influence of Financial Literacy and Self Control to Saving Behavior Students of Accounting Education 2014 Faculty of Economics Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Skripsi. Jakarta. Study Program of Economic Education, Concentration of Accounting Education, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2017. This study aims to determine whether there is influence between financial literacy and self-control of saving behavior students of Accounting Education 2014 Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta based on valid and reliable data. This research method using survey method. The affordable population in this study are students of accounting education 2014 as many as 88 students and the sample used as many as 72 students by using simple random sampling technique. Instruments used to obtain data on variable Y (saving behavior), X1 (financial literacy) and variable X2 (self control) is measured by using Likert scale. Technique of data analysis using SPSS 24.0 start by looking for test requirement analysis that is normality test and linearity test using KolmogorovSmirnov and got value of saving behavior (Y) 0,087> 0,05; The value of financial literacy (X1) is 0.099> 0.05; and value of self control (X2) equal to 0,079> 0,05. For the linearity test, the figure is 0,070> 0,05. The result of data analysis shows the equation of multiple linear regression analysis in this research is Ŷ = -3,547 + 0,705 X1 + 0,250 X2. The results of this study indicate there is a significant influence between financial literacy and self-control of the saving behavior seen from the results of F test calculation F_count> F_table (58,418> 3,13). Partially there is a positive and significant correlation between financial literacy and saving behavior based on t test result with (7, 458)> t_table (1,994). Then there is a positive and significant influence between self-control on saving behavior based on test result t with t_count (2,448)> t_table (1,994). The result of double correlation coefficient test (R) shows the number of 0.793. This figure shows that there is a strong influence between financial literacy and self-control on student saving behavior. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination showed a figure of 62.9%. So it can be said that the variable Y saving behavior is determined by the variable X1 financial literacy and X2 self control of 62.9%.
