Abstract

ABSTRACT Fairuz Marhaenda Prasida, 8105133190. The Influence of Emotional Intelligence and Job Satisfaction to Organizational Commitment on Employees at PT POS Indonesia Kota Tangerang. Scripts, Jakarta: Education Program Administration Office, Faculty of Economics, Jakarta State University, 2017. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of emotional intelligence and job satisfaction on employees organizational commitment in PT. POS Indonesia Kota Tangerang. This research done for 3 months starting from April 2017 to June 2017. This research uses survey method with quantitative approach, the population in this study is employees of PT. POS Indonesia Kota Tangerang, with population of all employees with the number of 128 employees. The research sampling technique using proportional random sampling with the number of samples of 95 employees. Data collection techniques used questionnaires. Data analysis technique performed is test requirement analysis which include test of normality, test of linearity, test of classical assumption which include test of multicolinearity and test of heteroscedasticity, multiple linear regression test, hypothesis test that cover the test of f, and t test and coefficient of determination. Data analysis technique using SPSS version program started by looking for test requirement analysis that is technical normality test by using Komolgrov Smirnov Z method and in X1 can be equal to 0,458. X2 is equal to 0,213, and Y 0,117 of which is all greater than significant 0.05 then the data is normally distributed. Possible searches for classical assumption assays include multicolinearity tests, and heteroscedasticity tests. From the multicolinearity test results the tolarance 0,577 value of greater than 0, 01 and VIF is less than 10 that is 1,734, it can be concluded that there is no multicolinearity problem. Looking for heteroscedasticity test that yields significant value of X1 0,423 and X2 0,546, since the significant value is more than 0.05 then there is no heteroscedasticity. The regression equation in can is Y = 12,887 + 0,330 X1 + 0694 X2. Hypothesis test includes test of F in table ANOVA known F count 43,857 > Ftabel 3,09. The t test produces t count 5,864 from emotional intelligence > t table 1,661 and t count 6,673 from job satisfaction > t table 1,661. Test the coefficient of determination obtained by the result of 50,5%, the rest of 49,5% influenced by other factors not examined. The conclusion of this study is there is an influence between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction on employees organizational commitment in PT. POS Indonesia Kota Tangerang.
