Abstract
SONIA LIFIA, 2020: The Effect of Solvency, Sales Growth and Managerial Agency Costs on Financial Distress in Property and Real Estate Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2018. Faculty of Economics. State University of Jakarta. This research aims to examine the effect of Solvency (X1), Sales Growth (X2), and Managerial Agency Costs (X3) on Financial Distress (Y). This study uses secondary data, namely Annual Reports and Financial Statements of Property and Real Estate Companies listed on the Stock Exchange 2016-2018. With the sampling technique, namely purposive sampling method and 43 companies were selected as samples with a total observation of 129 data. The analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 23 software. This study obtained the following results: (a) solvency has a negative and significant effect on financial distress (b) sales growth has a negative and significant effect on financial distress (c) managerial agency costs have no effect on financial distress.
