Abstract

ABSTRACT Dwi Fitriani. Influence of Ekonomi Growth and Government Expenditure on Human Development Index in Indonesia. Thesis, Jakarta: Concentration Cooperative Economic Education, Economics Education Studies Program, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2012 This study aims to analyze the effect of economic growth and government spending on human development index in Indonesia. The research was motivated by the fact that Indonesia has a human development index is still low compared to other countries in Southeast Asia and the uneven development between regions in Indonesia. The research was carried out with due regard to the development of per capita GDP, per capita government expenditure on Education and Health Expenditure per capita government, especially during the period 2007-2009 with the method of ex post facto. Data collection techniques in this study is to use panel data, which is a combination of cross section data and time series starting from the year 2007-2009 all provinces in Indonesia and using multiple regression analysis with the help of IBM software SPSS 19.0. F test the effect of economic growth and government spending on education and health to the human development index in Indonesia in the can Fhitung Ftabel for 27 772 while for 2466 it Fhitung> Ftabel. This means that there is influence between economic growth, government spending on education and health to the human development index simultaneously. The same conclusion occurs in the test of significance and value of sig is 0000 obtained from these results that the value of sig is smaller than a then Ho is rejected it means there is influence between economic growth, government spending on education and health to the human development index in Indonesia. The value obtained is 0467 R2. This means that the variable of economic growth, government spending on education and health spending can account for 46.7% variability of the human development index variable, while the rest is influenced by other variables. Based on the assumptions of classical test is heterokedastisitas test, test multicollinearity, and autocorrelation test, then the data is used is BLUE, so that the calculation results achieved are not biased. At the end of economic growth and the role of government is realized through government spending in education and health is expected to improve the human development index in Indonesia.
