Abstract

ABSTRACT Marzuki, 2012: Influence of Compensation and Working Environment toward Employee Job Satisfaction at Sofa Marwa Maternity Hospital Srengseng Sawah, South Jakarta. Thesis, Jakarta: Management Studies Program, Department of Management, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, in June 2012. Advisory Team; Dr. I Ketut R. Sudiarditha, M.si, Widya Parimita, SE., M.PA. Generally, the purpose of the research are: 1) Describe the compensation, work environment and employee job satisfaction at the Sofa Marwa Maternity Hospital, 2) Empirically test the influence of compensation toward employees job satisfaction at Sofa Marwa Maternity Hospital, 3) Empirically test the influence of the working environment toward employees job satisfaction Sofa Marwa Maternity Hospital, 4) empirically the influence of compensation and at work environment toward employees job satisfaction simultaneously at Sofa Marwa Maternity Hospital. The unit of observation was 37 respondents. The study used a questionnaire as a data collection tool. Location of research carried out in RSB Sofa Marwa Srengseng Sawah South Jakarta. Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 17 statistical applications. The results showed that influence compensation toward job satisfaction are significant with a significance value of 0.001. Work environment influence job satisfaction with a significance value of 0.010. Simultaneously compensation and work environment have an influence toward job satisfaction with a significance value 0.000. Compensation and work environment influence job satisfaction at 37.6%, and 62.4% influenced the rest of the other variables which not included in the research.
