Abstract

YOHANA MIRMANINGTYAS PRIEMADAYUNI. The Correlation Between Emotional Intelligence, Creativity and Academic Achievement in Students at SMK Negeri 44 Jakarta. Skripsi. Jakarta: Study Program of Bussiness Education. Faculty of Economics. State University of Jakarta. 2018. This study aims to gain the proper knowledge to obtain empirical data and facts are accurate, legitimate, valid, and can be trusted and relied on the relationship between emotional intelligence with academic achievement, creativity with academic achievement, emotional intelligence and creativity with academic achievement in students at SMK Negeri 44 Jakarta. The place of research conducted at SMK Negei 44 Jakarta for four months starting from February 2018 to May 2018. The research method is survey with correlational approach, the affordable population are students of class XI at SMK Negeri 44 Jakarta. Used simple random technique sampling of 114 students. While, the analysis technique of this research using multiple linear regression. The hypothesis of this study shows that: (1) There is a positive and significant correlation between emotional intelligence and academic achievement, this hypothesis is proved by tcount (4,675) > ttable (1,658). (2) There is a positive and significant correlation between creativity and academic achievement, this hypothesis is proved by tcount (4,969) > ttable (1,658). (3) Both emotional intelligence and creativity together have positive and significant correlation to academic achivement, this hypothesis is proved by Fcount (65,814) > Ftable (3,08). The multiple regression equation obtained is Ŷ = 76,188 + 0,053 (X1) + 0,041 (X2). The result of determination (R2) obtained is 0,543. So the ability of the variable emotional intelligence and creativity to describe academic achievement simultaneously is 54,3% while the rest influenced by other factors outside of emotional intelligence and creativity.
