Abstract

RABELLA TRIA PARDOSI. 8105141498. The Influence of Parenting Styles and Self Concept to Academic Achievement on Students of XI’s Class at SMK Negeri 31 Jakarta. Thesis. Jakarta : Study Program of Economic Education, Faculty of Economic, State University of Jakarta, 2018. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of parenting styles and self concept to academic achievement on students of XI’’s class at SMK Negeri 31 Jakarta. This research was conducted for three months from April 2018 until June 2018. The method of research is survey with correlational approach. The population in this research were all students at SMK Negeri 31 Jakarta amounted to 538 students. Population affordability are students of XI’s class amounted to 166 students. The technique sampling had been used proportional random sampling technique, so the sample in this research was 114 respondents. Based on the analysis requirements test, data has been normal and have a linear relationship. Based on the classic assumption test, the absence of multicollinearity for Tolerance value of parenting styles and self concept was 1.000 > 0.1, and VIF value of 1.000 < 10. While, heteroskedasticity test with of Spearman’s rho test, the significance of parenting styles 0.765 > 0.05 and self concept 0.573 > 0.05. Than regression equation that Ŷ = 55.571 + 0.156 X1 + 0.252 X2. Based on the hypothesis test was like F test and t test. First, based on the results of the F test with (Fcount > Ftable), that of 47.665 > 3.08. Second, based on the results of the t test with (tcount > ttable), that parenting styles is 5.906 > 1.981 and self concept of 7.686 > 1.981. Based on the coefficient determination test, parenting styles and self concept simultaneously influence on academic achievement of 46.2% while the rest of 53.8% influence by the other factors not research. It is concluded that there are significant influence between parenting styles and self concept to academic achievement on students of XI’s class at SMK Negeri 31 Jakarta.
