Abstract

The objectives of this study are: 1) To test the effect of motivation on the intention to visit Gunung Padang tourism object, Cianjur, West Java. 2) To test the effect of sensation seeking directly on the intention to visit Gunung Padang tourism object, Cianjur, West Java. 3) To test the effect of sensation seeking on motivation to visit Mount Padang tourism objects, Cianjur, West Java. The object of this research is Gunung Padang with the number of respondents as many as 200 respondents. Technical data analysis uses software or software SEM (Structural Equation Model) from the AMOS version 22 statistical package to process and analyze the results of the research. The results of this study are H1 has a critical ratio value of 3.889 which means that the hypothesis is accepted by having a standardized value of a total of 0.480 which means that it has a strong enough influence. It shows that motivation has a strong enough effect on the intention to visit Gunung Padang. Furthermore, H2 has a critical ratio of 4.361 which means the hypothesis is accepted by having a standardized value of a total of 0.614 which means it has a strong influence. That shows that sensation seeking has a strong enough effect on the intention to visit Gunung Padang. Furthermore, H3 has a critical ratio value of 4.734 which means that the hypothesis is accepted with a standardized value of a total of 0.704 which has a strong influence. It shows that sensation seeking has a strong effect on motivation to visit Gunung Padang.
