Abstract

RANY PUJI ASTUTI. CORRELATION BETWEEN JOB INVOLVEMENT WITH ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT ON EMPLOYEE AT PT. TIRA AUSTENITE TBK IN JAKARTA. Script, Jakarta: Study Program of Commerce Education, Departtement of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2015. This study is aimed to obtaining valid, factual information and knowledge about correlation between job involvement with the Organization 's commitment to the employees of PT. Tira Austenite Tbk in Jakarta. The method used is survey method with a correlational approach. The population in this study were all employees at PT. Tira Austenite Tbk. While the population of inaccessibility is employee Finance & Accounting and Logistics PT Tira Austenite Tbk as many as 36 employees . The sampling technique in this study were drawn proportionately by using simple random technique a total of 32 employees based tables Issac and Michael with an error level of 5 %. Data analysis techniques starts with finding a simple linear regression equation and obtained Ŷ = 44,67 + 0,436 X. Test requirements analysis is the normality test on the estimated regression error Y over X with liliefors obtained Lhitung test 0,094, while the significant level of 0,05 was Ltabel 0,157. Because Lhitung < Ltabel the estimated regression error Y over X (Y – Ŷ) normsl. While the linearity test obtained regression of Fhitung (1,72) < Ftabel (5,77), so it was concluded that the linear regression model. Hypothesis tests on the significance of the regression is know that the model of Fhitung (15,61) > Ftabel (4,17). Hypothesis tests with test product moment correlation coefficient of Pearson obtained rxy = 0,585, then this means that there is a positive relationship between job involvement and organizational commitment. From the t-test calculation known thitung = 3,95 > ttabel = 1,70), so this shows that there is a significant relationship (significant) between job involvement with organizational commitment. While the results of the calculation of the coefficient of determination values obtained 34,22% which indicates that the organizationel commitment is determined by the job involvement 34,22%. The result of this study has proved the existence of a positive and significant correlation between job involvement with organizational commitment on employee at PT. Tira Austenite Tbk in Jakarta. This means that if the higher job involvement will make the better employee organizational commitment.
