Abstract

Indonesia as a developing country continues to developt it’s economic growth until these days. This development certainly indicates a defense and even an incresement that Indonesia should made in every economic’s aspect. One of which is the unemployment rate. The unemployment rate in Indonesia actually is already in a good position that can no longer said to be bad, but according to Mr. Joko Widodo as Indonesian President, the percentage of unemployment still has to be decreased. Several previous studies shows a few aspects that the government sould be given more attention as an effort to achieve those targets. These aspects are the Minimum Wage of Province, Average Length of School, and also Inflation as a variables that still discussed in terms of their relationship to unemployment rate in a country. This study aims to examine how those variables affecting unemployment rate with Indonesian data from 2013-2018 as the sample studied. The method used in this study is the Multiple Linear Regression Panel. Based on the results of Estimating the best Model, Classic Assumption Test, and Hypothesis Test, it is obtained that the Minimum Wage of Province doesn’t affecting the percentage of Unemployement significanly, but the Average Lenght of School and Inflation affecting the percentage of Unemployement negatively but Inflation doesn’t affecting significanly. The implications that can be conclude from the result of this study is that the government may increasing the quality of human resourch with a development of facility and equity of education to increase the quality of labour to be able to compete and fulfill the needs of the company.
