Abstract

ALDO YOGA PRADANA. "The Effect of The Use of Gadget and Emotional Intelligence on Students' Learning Outcomes of Grade XII Accounting on The Subject of Accounting Practicum for Service, Merchandising, and Manufacturing Companies in State Vocational High School 50 Jakarta". Thesis, Jakarta. Economic Education Study Program. State University of Jakarta. 2020 This study aims to find out the effect of the use of gadgets (X1) and emotional intelligence (X2) on learning outcomes (Y) of class XII Accounting students in the subjects of Practicum Accounting for Service, Trade, and Manufacturing Companies. This research was conducted for three months from March to May 2020. The population in this study was 107 students of class XII Accounting. The sampling technique used proportional stratified random sampling technique to obtain a sample of 84 students. Learning outcome data (Y), the use of gadget (X1), and emotional intelligence (X2) were obtained through documentation and questionnaires. Test requirements analysis is carried out, data are expressed as normal and linear distribution. Based on the research analysis, partially there is a significant negative effect on the gadget usage variable (tcount1 = -2,216) and there is a significant positive effect on the emotional intelligence variable (tcount2 = 2,227) on learning outcomes with each ttable 1.98969. While simultaneously the results of Fcount is (4.702)> Ftable is (3.11) so that it can be concluded as simultaneously the use of gadgets and emotional intelligence have a significant effect on learning outcomes with partial coefficients is -0.222 and 0.223 for each variable, simultaneous coefficient is 0.323 also a coefficient of determination is 10.4%. This study found that the students’ learning outcomes of class XII Accounting in the subjects of Practicum Accounting for Service, Trade, and Manufacturing Companies in SMK Negeri 50 Jakarta influenced by the use of gadgets and emotional intelligence by 10.4%, while 89.6% influenced other factors that not researched by researcher.
