Abstract

ABSTRACT DIAN RIZKI HADIANTI. Correlation Between Effective Communication With Job Satisfaction At Metrsat Division Employees At PT Multimedia Nusantara. Thesis, Jakarta: the concentration of the administration offices, Education economics, Jurasan economic and administration, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The purpose of this research is to detect correlation between effective communication with job satisfaction at MetrSat Division employees at PT Multimedia Nusantara. The research is done during for three months since April until June 2013. The method of research is survey method with correlation approach. The population research was all of MetraSat Division employees with total 229 employees. Achievable population at Unit Operation it is amout 54 employees. From 48 people this research data has been taken, the summaries are based on number of research with fault level 5%. Resourced technique used simple random sampling. Collection data of X variable (Effective Communication) and Y variable (Job Satisfaction), the instrument using Likert scale, the validity test of construck through validation process, calculation of item score coefficient correlation with total score and test of reliability using formula of Alpha Cronbach. Reliability data of X variable (Effective Communication ) is 0,878 and Y variable (Job Satisfaction) is 0,942. The analysis test by searching equation of regression, Y = 41.93 + 0.741X. Then analysis test by normality error of regretssion prediction Y of X by using Liliefors formula and the result in L o = 0,108 while Ltabel for n = 48 on a significant phase at 0,05 was Ltabel = 0,128 . This mean the error of regression prediction Y of X has a normal distribution. Furthermore, the regression linearity test result in Fcount (1,21) < Ftable (2,15), this mean that regression model in this research is linier. While, the hypothesis research test is for regression significance test, and the result is, Fcount (21,39) <Ftable (4,02). This shows that, it has significance. Correlation coefficient test of the Product Moment result in r xy = 0,563 then continued with correlation significance test using t test, result thitung (4,62)> ttabel (1,68). The results of the study concluded between effective communication with job satisfaction at MetraSat Division employees have relationships. Determination coefficient test resulting 0,3174 mean that 31,74% Y variable determinates by X variable at MetraSat Division.
