Abstract

ABSTRACT IMAM SUKOCO. The Influence Of Job Characteristic and Motivation to Work Achievement by Employees Working at PT. Reprindo Prasidha in Cibubur. Skripsi, Jakarta: Concentration of Office Administration Study Program of Economics Education, Department Economics Administration, Faculty of Economic, State University of Jakarta, 2012. This study aims to determine whether there is the influence of Job Characteristic and motivation to employees' performance in PT.Reprindo Prasidha. The study was conducted over four months from April through the month of July 2012. The method used is survey method with the correlational approach. The study population was all employees of PT. Reprindo Prasidha as many as 100 employees, and affordable population of this study was four department 77 people to 66 people as sample. Samples were taken using simple random technique (simple random sampling). Work Achievement (variable Y) used secondary data obtained from the PT. Reprindo Prasidha. While the Job Characteristic of research variables (variable X1) and Motivation (X2) used an instrument with a Likert Scale. Before the instrument variable X1 is used, tested the construct validity through a validation process is the calculation of the correlation coefficient score points with the total score and reliability testing with Cronbach Alpha formula. Results of reliability point X1 variable (Job Characteristic) of 0.885 and X2 variabel (Motivation) 0.884. This proves that the variable X1and X2 has a high reliability. Test requirements analysis is performed by finding the regression equation obtained was Y= 21.497 + 0,368 X 1 + 0,363 X . Based on the results of normality test of significance test results are known the value of work performance (Y), Job Characteristic (X1), motivation (X2), and the significance of the residuals is 0.200 which are all more than the 0.05 H0 accepted then the data means the data are normally distributed. From the results of the t test, t hitung 2 of Job Characteristic (4.668)>t (1.67) so H0 is rejected, the conclusion that Job Characteristic has a significant positive effect on work achievement, t hitung of motivation (4.094)> t (1.67) so H0 is rejected , the conclusion that the motivation had a significant positive effect on work achievement. tabel The results of hypothesis testing of two variables, job characteristic and motivation to simultaneously have an influence on work achievement is viewed from F hitung (27.156)> F (2.25). Then the partial variable job characteristic have t hitung tabel = 4.668 and has motivation have t hitung = 4.094 with t = 1.67 where a separate state significance (t hitung >t tabel tabel ) means that each independent variable is the job characteristic and motivation have a significant positive effect on the dependent variable is work achievement. The results of these studies concluded that there is a positive influence between job characteristic and motivation to employees' performance. With a decisive test of the coefficient of determination or results obtained 46.3% work achievement variable (Y) is determined by job characteristic(X1) and motivation (X2).
