Abstract

ABSTRACT IRMA MAISITA. 8115082624. The Correlation Between Job Stress and Organizational Commitment on Employees at PT Serasi Tunggal Mandiri. Script, Jakarta: Concentration in Educational of Office Administration, Study Program of Economics Education, Department Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2012. The purpose of this research is to find out the correlation between job stress and organizational commitment on employees at PT Serasi Tunggal Mandiri. The research was done for two months since June until July 2012. Survey method with correlational approach was used in this research. The population of this research is the employee of Human Resource and General Affair Department at PT Serasi Tunggal Mandiri and 48 employees as the sample and this research use simple random sampling. To get the X variable’s data, this research used the instruments which are measured by questionnaire using Likert Scale. Y variable was also measured by questionarre using likert scale. The regression equality of this research is Y = 111,36 - 0,515X. The normality test by using liliefors table results L count 0,1117 meanwhile the Ltable for sample of 48 = 0,1278. Because of Lcount < Ltable, X variable and Y variable has a normal distribution, the hipothesis test by using meaning regression test got the Fcount = 17,80 and Ftable 4,05. Because of F count 17,80 > Ftable 4,05, it can be proved that the regression equality is significant..from the regression linearity test, got F table = 2,07 meanwhile F = 1,00. Because of F count (1,00) < F (2,07), it can be conclude that regression equality is linear. The coeficient correlation test of Product Moment results r table = -0,528. Then regresion of coeficient correlation test by using t-test results –t (4,22) < -t (1,68). It can be concluded that there is a negative correlation between job stress and organizational commitment on the employees at PT Serasi Tunggal Mandiri. Coeficient determination test results 27,90%, so it can be concluded that there is a negative and significant between job stress and organizational commitment.
