Abstract

ABSTRACT RIA RESTY CHRISTIANI. Correlation Between Emotional Intelligence And Job Satisfaction At PT Asabri (Persero), Jakarta. Skripsi, Jakarta: Concentration of Office Administration Education, Study of Economic Education, Economics and Administration Department, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2012. This purpose of this research is to know more about The Correlation Between Emotional Intelligence with Job Satisfaction At PT Asabri (Persero), Jakarta Timur. This research method is using survey method with correlation approach. The populations of this research are all of employee at PT Asabri (Persero) in total 315 employee, the reach populations are employees in Company Assurance and pension Division in total 50 employee, and 44 employee for sampling. The X variable data (Emotional Intelligence) and Y variable data (Job Satisfaction), using Likert Scale. Then, it has Construct Validity Test using Validation Process, that is Correlation Coefficient valuing score with the total score reliability test using Alpha Cronbach Formula. Reliability X variable (Emotional Intelligence) is 0,727 and Y variable data (Job Satisfaction) is 0,898. The analyses test by finding regression equation, that is 38,42 + 0,697X. The normal data test using Lilliefors formula and the result is L count = 0,087 in significant level 0,05 and L table = 0,133, so L count < L . It means that the mistake prediction regression Y to X has normal distribution. The result of regression significance test if F count (10,60) > F (4,07), shows that the regression is significance. Regression linearity test, F count table (1,46) < F (2,05), show that the regression is linier. The Product Moment result of correlations coefficient test, is r table = 0,449 continued by using correlations coefficient significance test with t-test. The result of t (3,26) > t (1,68). It means that the research is significance and positive relation between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction. The result of determination coefficient test is 20,16%, it means that job satisfaction variable determined by 20,16% emotional intelligence variable. The conclusion, there is a positive Correlation Between Emotional Intelligence and Job Satisfaction At PT Asabri (Persero), Jakarta.
