Abstract

ABSTRACT Nevi Susanti. Differences in economic learning outcomes between group who were using problem based learning model with group who were using conventional model in students of tenth class SMAN 83 North Jakarta. 2012 This study aims to determine the differences significant in economic learning outcomes between group who were using problem based learning model with group who were using conventional model. The population in this study were all students tenth class SMAN 83 North Jakarta which consisted of eight classes. Samples were taken two classes (60 people) at random, in this case as the experimental group is X3 and control group is X2. This type of research is experimental research and the types of instruments used in the form of tests of cognitive learning outcomes. The results obtained by the average value of 65,37 at posttest the experimental group and control group at 56,17. The highest score of experimental group is 87 and control group is 80. Where as the lowest score of experimental group is 40 and control groups is 37, The results of normality Lcalculate = 0,117 <Ltable= 0,161, then Ho is accepted at the 0.05 level, so that the data is normally distributed. Where as the control group test for normality Lcalculate = 0,108 < Ltable = 0,161, then Ho is accepted at the 0.05 level, so the data are normally distributed. The results of homogeneity test of the experimental group and the control group Fcalculate = 1,106 <= 1,84 then Ftable Ho received the 0,05 significance level, so the variance is homogeneous. Hypothesis testing is done through one-way ANOVA test and obtained Fcalculated = 9,27 > 4,01 Ftable at 0,05 significance level and the db = 1/58, then Ho is rejected. This means that there are differences significant in economic learning outcomes between the groups who were using problem based learning model with group who were using conventional model. After that t – Dunnet test obtained tcalculate= 3,04 > 1,67 = ttable for a = 0,05 dan db = 1/58, then Ho is rejected. This means that economic learning outcomes of group who were using problem based learning model is more high than group who were using conventional model. Keyword: economic outcomes learning, problem based learning model, conventional model
