Abstract

ABSTRACT Mega Puspita Dewi, 2011; Influence of Leadership Style and Emotional Intelligence towards Job Satisfaction at PT. Televisi Transformasi Indonesia Jakarta. Skripsi: Jakarta, Human Resource Management Concentration, Management Study Program, Department of Management, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. The purposes of the research are: 1) To know description for leadership style, emotional intelligence, and job satisfaction at PT. Televisi Transformasi Indonesia. 2) Test empirically influence of leadership style towards job satisfaction at PT. Televisi Transformasi Indonesia. 3) Test empirically influence of emotional intelligence towards job satisfaction at PT. Televisi Transformasi Indonesia. 4) Test empirically influence of leadership style and emotional intelligence towards job satisfaction at PT. Televisi Transformasi Indonesia. The analyses implemented in this research are simple regression and multiple regression analysis. The method of this research is simple random sampling that taken 89 employees at Department Technical Services, Art, and Information Technology, while data collecting by using questionnaires and cultivated using SPSS 19.0. The result of t test for leadership style is 1.992, and the signification is 0.049. This shows that there is an effect between leadership styles towards job satisfaction. The result of t test for emotional intelligence is 2.483, and the signification is 0.015 this shows that there is an effect between emotional intelligence towards job satisfaction. The result of F test is 3.875, and the signification is 0.024. This shows that there is an effect between leadership style and emotional intelligence towards job satisfaction. The result of R is 0.183 or 18.3%. It means Job Satisfaction is affected by leadership style and emotional intelligence as much as 18.3%.
