Abstract

HANA MUFIDA NAUFAL. 8105145110. Effect of Interpersonal Communication and Work Motivation on Job Satisfaction in employees of PT. Telkom Jakarta Utara. Thesis, Jakarta: Education Program Administration Office, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. 2018. This study aims to determine whether there is influence between interpersonal communication and work motivation in employees of PT. Telkom Jakarta Utara. This research was conducted from April to June 2018. This research used survey method with quantitative approach. The population in this study were all employees of PT. Telkom with its inaccessible population is Telkom employees (Home Service, Customer Service, Access & Service Operation, Access Network). The sampling technique uses proportional random sampling technique, so that the sample of 95 respondents is obtained. Y variable data (Job Satisfaction) is primary data, while variable data X1 (Interpersonal Communication) and X2 (Work Motivation). Data collection techniques using questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is the requirements analysis test consisting of normality test and linearity test, kalisk assumption test, linear multiple regression test, hypothesis test consisting of F test and t test. Based on the analysis result, it is known that there is partial influence between interpersonal communication and job satisfaction. Can be seen from the results of data analysis is known that t count of 5.120> tTable 1.986. Then it is known that there is a partial influence between work motivation and job satisfaction. Can be diligat from result of data analysis known that t count value 4,285> tTable 1,986. Interpersonal communication and work motivation simultaneously affect job satisfaction. This is seen from the results of data showing the value of Fcount 42.776> FTable 3.10. The multiple regression equation obtained is ̂= 53,166 + 0,365X1 + 0,289X2. Based on the coefficient of determination obtained R2 value of 0.457 which means 0.482 which means interpersonal communication (X1) and work motivation (X2) affect job satisfaction (Y) by 48.2%.
