Abstract
The Effect of Work Discipline and Competence on Employee Performance with Work Motivation as Mediation Variable ABSTRACT This research aims to determine the effect of Work Discipline and Competence on Employee Performance through Work Motivation. The sample in this study were employees of the Deputy for Institutional and Community Relations, the Ministry of State Secretariat. The sample technique used is a saturated sample that is all employees at the Deputy for Institutional and Community Relations, the Ministry of State Secretariat with a total response of 112 respondents. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires using a 5-point Likert scale. Test the validity and reliability of research instruments using SPSS with a sample size of 30 respondents.The data analysis method used in this study is Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results of the research show that Work Discipline, Competence and Work Motivation have a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. Work Discipline and Competence become positive and significant variables in influencing work motivation. The results also showed that Work Discipline and Competence had a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance through Work Motivation.
