Abstract

ABSTRACT ROOSA MAGDALENA. The Influence Between Work Environment and Work Culture With Job Satisfaction on Employees at PT Askes (Persero) Branch of East Jakarta. Scientific Paper, Jakarta: Concentration of Office Administration Study Program of Economics Education, Department Economics Administration, Faculty of Economic, State University of Jakarta, December 2012. The study aims to determine whether there is influence between work environment and work culture with on employees at PT Askes (Persero) branch of East Jakarta and also to get a valid and reliable data or fact, to prove it. The research has been done for three months since July until September 2012. The method of this research is survey method with causalitas approach. The population research was all employees from PT Askes (Persero) branch of East Jakarta as much as 60 employees. And affordable population of this study is 51 employees. Data from the variable Y (job satisfaction) in this research is secondary data obtained from the results of job satisfaction assessment quarterly 3 with data output of the period August to October 2012. While the data variable X 1 (work environment) obtained from result of instrument and was measured using a Likert scale. For data X2 (work culture) obtained from result of instrument and was measured using a Likert scale. After that, tested the validity of construct through the validation process of calculating the correlation coefficient score points with a total score and reliability testing with Alpha Cronbach. The results of the reliability of the instrument variable X1 (work environment) of 0,963 and variable X2 (work culture) 0,843 and variable Y (job satisfaction) of 0,929 . Techniques of data analysis using SPSS begins with finding the test requirements analysis test for normality using the Kolmogrov Smirnov method and obtained X1,X2, and Y and residual is 0,200 which are all more than the 0,05 then the data are normally distributed. Linearity test can be seen from the output results Test of Linearity at 0,05 significance level. Linearity tets results X1 (work environment) with Y (job satisfaction) of 0,000 which is less than the 0,05, it can be concluded the data X1 (work environment) with Y (job satisfaction) has a linear relationship. Then the result of linearity test X2 (work culture) with Y (job satisfaction) of 0,000 which is less than the 0,05 it can be concluded that the data X2 (work culture) with Y (job satisfaction) also has a relationship linearly. Then look for the classic assumptions test the multicollinearity and heteroskedastisitas. A good regression model requires the absence of multicollinearity and heteroskedastisitas. The results obtained are the Tolerance values of 0,869 which means more than 0,1 and the Variance Inflation Factor (VIF) 1,150 which means less than 10. Thus, it can be concluded that in the regression model didn’t occur multicollinearity. Then look for the heteroskedastisitas test with a Glejser test. A good regression modelrequires the absence of heteroskedastisitas problem. Significance value X1 (work environment) for 0,160>0,05 and the significance of X2 (work culture) for 0,539>0,05. Since the significance value of more than 0.05 then the regression model didn’t occur heteroskedastisitas. Regression equation obtained is Y=13,821 + 0,399 X1 + 0,489 X2. T test produce tcount of X1 (work environment) is 4,628 and tcount of X2 (work culture) is 3,761 and ttable is 1,672. Because tcount more than ttable it can be concluded that there is a positive influence on the work environment with a job satisfaction and work culture with a job satisfaction. Test the hypothesis that the F test in ANOVA table produces F count (23,477) > F table (3,16) this means thatX1 (work environment) and X2 (work culture) simultaneously affect the Y (job satisfaction). Then a coefficient of determination of test results obtained 45,1%, which means that variable Y (job satisfaction) determined by X1 (work environment) and X2 (work culture) simultaneously. The conclusion of the research have shown that there is a negative and significance influence between work environment with job satisfaction, an work culture with job satisfaction, and then there is a positive and significance influence between work environment and work culture with job satisfaction on employees at PT Askes (Persero) branch of East Jakarta.
