Abstract

ABSTRACT NURIYAH APRILIYANI. The Correlation Beetween Quality of Instructional Media with Learning Interest of Student in economics Lesson at SMAN 14 Jakarta Timur. Thesis, Jakarta: Economics Education Study Program, Economics Cooperation Education of Consentration, Economics and Administration Department, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. 2012. This study aims to gain information and knowledge based on the data or the fact that valid or invalid, true and trustworthy about how is the correlation between the quality of instructional media with interest in the eyes of students studying in Economic lesson at 14 Senior High School of Jakarta. The research was conducted at the High School District 14 in East Jakarta for three months from August 2011 to October 2011. This study used a survey method with the correlational approach. The sampling technique used the proportionate random technique. The population in this study were all students of SMAN 14. With a sample of 100 students taken. To capture data from the Quality of instructional media (variable X) and Student Interest in the questionnaire used Likert scale models. Calculation of reliability of the variables X and Y using the Cronbach alpha formula. The results was 0.911 reliabel of variable X and variable Y of 0.927. These results proved that the instrument is reliable. Test requirements analysis was the normality test error of estimated regression of Y on X to produce L Liliefors test count = 0,052, while the L table for n = 100 at 0.05 significant level is 0,089. Because Lcalculated < Ltable then the estimated error of Y over X is normally distributed. The resulting regression equation is Y = 53,57 + 0,578X. From the regression test result Fcalcutaed > Ftable , is 76,46 > 3,91, meaning that the regression equation is significant. Testing linearity of regression produces Fcalculated < Ftable is 1,30 <1.61, so it was concluded that the linear equation regreasi. The correlation coefficient of Pearson Product Moment produces rxy = 0,662, then performed the test calculation correlation coefficient by using t test and resulted tcalculated = 8,744 and ttable = 1,67. It can be concluded that the correlation coefficient rxy = 0,662 is significant. The coefficient of determination obtained by 43,83%, which indicates that 43,83% interest in studying economics is determined by the quality of instructional media. These results proved the existence of a positive and significant relationship between the Quality Learning Media Student Interest in Economic Subjects in SMAN 14 Jakarta.
