Abstract

ABSTRACT PUPUH MEGAWATI. Influence of Ability Teachers in Classroom Management and Study Interest to Study Achievement of Economics Students at Senior High School 43 Jakarta. Script, Jakarta: Economics Education Program, Economics and Coorperative Education Concentration, Economics Majors and the Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta 2012. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of ability teachers in classroom management to the study achievement of economics students, the influence of study interest to the study achievement of economics students, and influence of ability teachers in classroom management and study interest to study achievement of economics students. This research has done from during two month since November until Desember 2011. The population research was all students in class X at Senior High School 43 Jakarta academic year 2011/2012 as much as 230 peoples. Samples are used as much as 30% of the population that is 69 peoples by take 12 people each class use the method of propotional random sampling. The research method used is survey method with the correlational approach use ex post facto data. The data collected is used and data generated from distributing a questionnaire to the variables X1 and X2 that have been tested for validity and reliability and Y variables used documentation data. The processing of data used SPSS 19.0. The result oh this research show that ability teachers in classroom management and study interest is low and the regression analysis result are known (1) There are influences of ability teachers in classroom management to the study achievement of economics students, (2) There are influences of study interest to the study achievement of economics students, (3) There are influences of ability teachers in classroom management and study interest to study achievement of economics students. Study achievement of economics students can be explained by the independent variable (the ability teachers in classroom management and study interest) amounted to 33,9% while the remaining 66,1% influenced by other factors is not examined. Based on these result, it can be concluded that there is a simultaneous and partial influence among ability teachers in classroom management and study interest to study achievement of economics students. The suggestion can be give (1) Study achievement of economics students can be improved if a teacher already has the ability teachers in classroom management as well. The ability teachers in classroom management can be said to be good if teachers are able to sue the responsibility of students by having students to oversee the activities carried out by a friend that every student has the responsibility of each. Futhermore, demand student responsibility can also be done by controlling the students to the tasks being done by students. This will make the student has the responsibility to complete the task so well that it will improve study achievement. (2) Study achievement can increase if interest of study have the student is high. Teacher should be able to increase study interest by arouse the attention of students to listen the explanation of matter that is being done. Attention student can be brought about through the way teaching is done by a teacher.
