Abstract

NURUL AMALIAH, 8105145128. The Effect of Role Conflict and Role Ambiguity on Job Satisfaction at Employees of PT. Serasi Tunggal Mandiri in South Jakarta. This study aims to determine the effect of Role Conflict and Role Ambiguity on Job Satisfaction at employees of PT. Serasi Tunggal Mandiri in South Jakarta. This research was conducted from February to May 2018. The research method used is survey method. The research population 160 employees of PT. Serasi Tunggal Mandiri, and the sample used in this research is as many as 110 employees by using simple random sampling. The data of variable Y (Job Satisfaction), X1 (Role Conflict), and X2 (Role Ambiguity) are the primary data by using Likert scale model. Data analysis technique using SPSS 22.0. The result of F test in ANOVA table yield F count equal to (43.765)> F table (3.08), this means X1 and X2 simultaneously give influence to Y. Test t produce t count X1 (-6.580) <t table (-1.659) And X2 (-5.736) <t table (-1.659), then there is a negative influence X1 on Y and X2 to Y. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is a negative influence Role Conflicts and Role Ambiguity to Job Satisfaction. The results of research have multiple regression equation Y = 99.554– 0.775 (X1) – 0.729 (X2). Test of coefficient of determination (R2) of 45%, that each variable X1 and X2 contribute influence of 45% to Y. Keywords: Job Satisfaction, Role Conflict, Role Ambiguity
