Abstract

EVI NUR FATIMAH. 8105145077. The Influence of Job Stress and Job Satisfaction on Organizational Commitment to Employees of PT. Mitsubishi Kramayudha Motors and Manufacturing in Jakarta. The Thesis. Jakarta: Economic Education Studies Program, Faculty of Economics, Jakarta State University, 2018. This study aims to determine the effect of job stress and job satisfaction on organizational commitment to employees of PT. Mitsubishi Kramayudha Motors and Manufacturing in Jakarta. This research was conducted for three months starting from February 2018 until April 2018. The research method is survey method. Population in this research is all employees of PT. Mitsubishi Kramayudha Motors and Manufacturing. With an affordable population of PT. Mitsubishi Kramayudha Motors and Manufacturing, totaling 132 people. The samples used in this study were 95 employees and technique sampling using proportional random sampling. Y variable data (Organizational Commitment), X1 (Job Stress), and X2 (Job Satisfaction) are primary data using questionnaire and Likert scale. Data analysis techniques using IBM SPSS Statistic v.22. Based on the analysis requirements test, the data has been normally distributed and has a linear relationship. Based on classic assumption test, multicolinearity test showed that tolerance value of X1 (Job Stress) and X2 (Job Satisfaction) equal to 0,583 > 0,1 and VIF value 1,714 < 10. While the result of heteroscedasticity test through Spearman's rho test of work stress 0,740 > 0,05 and job satisfaction 0,866 > 0,05. Based on the result of data analysis, it has multiple regression equation Ŷ = 102,305 – 0,724 X1 + 0,338 X2. The result of the F test in the ANOVA table (Fcount > Ftable) gives Fcount (84,273) > Ftable (3,10), it shows simultaneously X1 and X2 affect Y. The result of t test (tcount > ttable or -tcount < -ttable) produces tcount X1 (-6,735) < ttabel (-1,98), indicating there is a negative influence between job stress and organizational commitment. Then, tcount X2 (4,130) > ttabel (1,98) shows a positive influence between job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Determination coefficient test (R Square) equal to 64,7%, that each variable X1 and X2 contribute influence equal to 64,7% to Y and the rest equal to 35,3% influenced by other factor not examined. The conclusion of this research is there is significant influence between work stress and job satisfaction to organizational commitment to PT.
