Abstract

DANA TOM SEPTIAN, The Correlation Between Lifestyle with Purchase Decisions of Smartphone Samsung Galaxy E5 at Study Program of Commerce Education at State University of Jakarta, June 2015. This study aimed to obtain the right data (authentic, true, valid) and trust worthy (reliable). The research was conducted at the Rawamangun Muka in Jakarta, for four months from February 2015 until Mei 2015. The research method used is survey method with the correlational approach. The population in this research is the period 2013 and 2014 student at Study Program of Commerce Education at State University of Jakarta, as many as 75 people. The sampling technique used in this study is simple random. The resulting regression equation is Ŷ = 46,16 + 0,50 X. Test requirements analysis of the normality test error of estimated regression of Y on X to produce Lcount Liliefors test= 0,0793, while the Ltable for n = 36 at 0.05 significant level is 0.1477. Because the Lcount < Ltable than an error estimated of Y on X is normally distributed. Testing linearity of regression produces Fcount < Ftable is 0,53 < 2,74, so it is concluded that the linear equation regression. Hypothesis testing from test significance regression produces Fcount > Ftable which 30,85 > 4.17, meaning that the regression equation is significant. Correlation coefficient of Pearson Product Moment generating r xy = 0.690, then performed the test significance correlation coefficient using the t test and the resulting tcount >ttable, tcount = 5,554 and ttable =1,70. It can be concluded that the correlation coefficient rxy = 0.690 is significant. The coefficient of determination obtain for is 47.57%, which shows that 47.57% of the variation of purchase decision is lifestyle.
