Abstract

DEDE FIRMANSYAH. The Effect Of Motivation, Discipline, And Work Environment On Teachers Performance At Private Vocational High Schools In Accounting Major Of Bogor City. A Thesis. Faculty of Economics. State University of Jakarta. 2019 This study aims to find out The Effect of Motivation, Discipline, and Work Environment on The Performance of Vocational High School Teachers in Accounting Major in Bogor City. The research method used is a survey method with a correlational approach. The population of this study is all the Vocational High School Teachers in Business and Management Field, then the taken sample is the Accounting Major Teachers in Business and Management Vocational High School in Bogor City. The instrument used in this study is a non-test that is questionnaire. X1 variable (Work Motivation) 21 statement items, X2 variable (Work Discipline) 22 statement items and X3 variable (Work Environment) 21 statement items. Meanwhile, for the Teacher Performance variable is directly obtained from the school where the research is conducted. The three instruments of the X variable are tested on 20 teachers in Tri Dharma 4 Vocational High School, Bogor City. From the calculation of instrument validity, for the X1 variable (Work Motivation) 21 statements are stated as valid and 4 statements are stated as invalid. For X2 variable (Work Discipline) 22 statements are stated as valid and 2 statements are stated as invalid. Meanwhile, for X3 variable (Work Environment) 21 statements are stated as valid and 4 statements are stated as invalid (r item> r criteria). From the trial results, the variable reliability is obtained to be X1 = 0.967, X2 variable = 0.943 and X3 variable = 0.907. Therefore, this research instrument is stated as valid and reliable to be used. All variables in this study are normally distributed and meet the assume linearity. Regression equation in this study is Ŷ = 30,659 + 0.161 x_1 + 0.217 x_2 +0,271 x_3. The result of analysis shows that the Work Motivation has a significant positive effect on Teacher Performance, where the Sig. <0.05 is 0.021, for the Work Discipline variable has a significant positive effect on Teacher Performance, where the Sig. <0.05 is 0.004 and for the Work Environment variable has a significant positive effect on Teacher Performance, where the Sig. <0.05 is 0,000. Simultaneously, the effect that occurs between Motivation, Discipline and Work Environment jointly have significant effect on The Performance of Vocational High School Teachers in Accounting Major in Bogor City. The Ability of Motivation, Discipline and Work Environment in Affecting The Teacher Performance is by 37.8%. Keyword: Work Motivation, Work Discipline, and Work Environment. Teacher Performance
