Abstract

MUTIA AYU HIDAYATI. Recitation Method With Scientific Approach Effect For The Mastery Of Economics Concept Social Student At 1 Jonggol Senior High School. Economics education, Faculty of Economics, State University Jakarta. This research aims to find out: There are differences in the mastery of economic concepts between classes with resitation methods with a scientific approach and class with conventional methods with the scientific approach of students in class X IPS SMA Negeri 1 Jonggol. This research is a quasi-experimental study. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Jonggol in March – May 2019. The population in this study was grade X IPS 3-5 which consisted of X IPS 3 control classes of 36 students, X IPS 4 experimental class as many as 36 students and trial grade class X IPS 5 research. Experimental class in its treatment using Resitation method with scientific approach while the control class only use conventional method with the scientific approach in the learning process. The design used in this study is Nonequevalent Control Group Design. Research instrument in the form of economic concept mastery test. To test the hypothesis using an independent samples T-Test. Data analysis is done in a descriptive. The results of this study showed that: (1) in the control grade nonrenewable pretests value of 50.80 whereas the average posttest value of 62.05 is still lower than the Experimentary class, (2) on the experiment class the average pretests value of 49.63 whereas the average posttest value of 62.11 is higher compared to the control class, (3) The average postetest value of the class's > Ecperimentary control class is 62.11 > 62.05 whose mastery level of the concept of the for class is higher than the class Control, on the independent samples T-test, the result is a sig. 2 tailed 0.004 < 0.05 application of Resitation method with a scientific approach to the mastery of economic concepts.
