Abstract

INDAH NOVITA. The Influence of Problem Based Learning and Learning Style On Student’s Learning Outcomes in Bina Pangudi Luhur Vacational School Jakarta. Faculty of Economy, State University of Jakarta 2019 This study aims to determine the magnitude of the influence between problem based learning variables and learning styles on student learning outcomes in Bina Pangudi Luhur Vocational School Jakarta. The research method used in this study is the survey method. The population in this study were Bina Pangudi Luhur Vocational School students. Affordable population in this study were class X students and the number of samples used was 105 students of class X with proportional random sampling technique. Data on Learning Outcomes variable (Y) is secondary data, Problem Based Learning (X1) and Learning Style (X2) variables are primary data using a Likert scale model. The data analysis technique in this study used SPSS 20.0 by analyzing the data using path analysis. The results of the research based on hypothesis testing show: a) Problem Based Learning (X1) has t count (3,543)> t table (1,983), it can be concluded that Problem Based Learning (X1) has a positive and significant effect on Learning Outcomes (Y), Visual Style (X2.1) has t count (2,002)> t table (1,983), it can be concluded that Visual Style (X2.1) has a positive and significant effect on Learning Outcomes (Y), Auditory Style (X2.2) has t count (2,456)> t table (1,983), it can be concluded Auditory Style (X2.2) has a positive and significant effect on Learning Outcomes (Y), Kinesthetic Style (X2.3) has t count (3,331)> t table (1,983), it can be concluded Kinesthetic Style (X2.3 ) significant positive effect on Learning Outcomes (Y), b) the results of F test in ANOVA table produce Fcount (12,909)> Ftable value (3,07), this means that problem based learning and learning styles simultaneously have an influence on learning outcomes . The findings of the path analysis show that there are: (a) the direct effect of problem based learning on learning outcomes of 0.358, (b) the direct influence of the visual style on learning outcomes by 0.209, the direct effect of auditory style on learning outcomes of 0.237, the direct effect of kinesthetic style on learning outcomes of 0.310, (c) the effect of problem based learning on total learning outcomes of 0.432 includes direct influence of 0.358 and indirect effects through visual style of 0.074, the effect of problem based learning on total learning outcomes of 0.442 includes a direct effect of 0.358 and indirect effects through auditory style of 0.084, the effect of problem based learning on total learning outcomes of 0.468 includes a direct effect of 0.358 and indirect effects through kinesthetic style of 0.110.
