Abstract
Shania Ramadhani, 2020; Factors That Affect Diversification of Companies in the Manufacturing Sector Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the Period 2015-2019. Thesis, Jakarta: S1 Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Advisory Team: M. Edo Suryawan Siregar, S.E., M.B.A, & Sholatia Dalimunthe, S.E., M.B.A. This study aims to determine the effect of board independence, ownership concentration, and managerial ownership on diversification in the manufacturing sector of the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2015-2019 period. The independent variable used in this study are; board independence, ownership concentration, and managerial ownership. The dependent variable used in this study is diversification, which uses entropy index. The data used in this study uses purposive sampling with panel data regression analysis. The results showed that ownership concentration had a significant positive effect on diversification, while board independence and managerial ownership had no effect on diversification.
