Abstract

ABSTRACT SITI NURLAELA. 8105123348. The Influence of Organizational Culture and Work Motivation on Organizational Commitment of Employee of PT Transportation Jakarta. Thesis, Jakarta: Economic Education Study Program, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. 2016. This study aims to determine whether there is influence between organizational culture and work motivation on organizational commitment of employees of PT Transportasi Jakarta. This study was conducted over three months, starting in March 2016 until May 2016. This research method using descriptive and survey methods. The population in this study were all employees of PT Transportasi Jakarta numbering 5690 people. While the affordability of the population are employees of PT Transportation Jakarta which are in the central office are numbered 273 people. The sampling technique used was proportional random technique, so that the sample in this study amounted to 152 respondents. The data collection technique using questionnaires. To collect data of organizational commitment (Y), organizational culture (X1) and work motivation (X2) obtained by giving questionnaires to respondents. The data analysis technique used is the test requirements analysis consisting of normality test and linearity test, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression, hypothesis testing consisting of F test and t test. Based on the results of data analysis can be seen that there is a partial effect between organizational culture and organizational commitment. Can be seen from the results of data analysis showed tcount amounted to 5.442> 1.976 ttable . Work motivation partial effect on organizational commitment, it is seen from the results of data analysis showed tcount 5.800> 1.976 t table . Organizational culture and work motivation simultaneously influence the organizational commitment, it is seen from the results of data analysis that shows the value of F (98.847)> F table (3.06). The regression equation obtained is Ý = 17.832 + 0.404 X1 + 0.418 X2. Based on the obtained coefficient determination R 2 value of 0.570, which means the organizational culture (X1) and work motivation (X2) effect on organizational commitment (Y) by 57%.
