Abstract
ABSTRACT Atikah Kusumaningtyas. The Effect of The Job Shift and Emotional Intelligence on The Job Stress: A Study on PT Transportasi Jakarta Bus Driver. State University of Jakarta. 2015. The purpose of this research are: 1) To Empirically test the effect of job shift on Driver of PT Transportasi Jakarta. 2) To Empirically test the effect of Emotional Intelligence on Driver of PT Transportasi Jakarta. 3) To Empirically test the effect of job shift together with Emotional Intelligence on Driver of PT Transportasi Jakarta. 4) The Analysis on this research are using the Explanatory and Descriptive analysis. Research conducted on 160 driver of PT Transportasi jakarta by using convenience sampling methods. The data was gathered by using questionnaire, and then be treated by using Microsoft Excell and SPSS. The research shows that: 1) The job shift have an impact on the job stress for the morning and the daylight shift’s driver. 2) Emotional intelligence have an impact to job stress both on the morning and daylight shift’s driver. 3) Job shift and Emotional intelligence all together have an impact to job stress of the morning and daylight shift’s driver.4)The level of job shift and emotional intelligence that affecting job stress of drivers of PT Transportasi Jakarta are 27.8% for the morning shift and 39.8% for the daylight shift.
