Abstract

ABSTRACT Nurul Insani, 2012: The Influence of Organizational Climate and Compensation to Employee Job Satisfaction at Balai Besar Kimia and Kemasan in Jakarta. Skripsi, Jakarta: Concentration in Human Resource Management, Management S1 Program, Department of Management, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. The purpose of this study is: 1) To know the description of organization climate, compensation, and employee job satisfaction at the Balai Besar Kimia and Kemasan. 2) To test empirically the influence of organizations climate on employee job satisfaction at the Balai Besar Kimia and Kemasan. 3) To test empirically the influence of compensation on employee job satisfaction at the Balai Besar Kimia and Kemasan. 4) To test empirically the influence of organizational climate and compensation together on employee job satisfaction at the Balai Besar Kimia and Kemasan. The analysis conducted in this study is simple linear analysis and linear multiple. Research carried out by the method of stratified random sampling of 96 employee at the Balai Besar Kimia and Kemasan, while the techniques of data collection was done by distributing questionnaires, and then processed using SPSS 16.0. T test results on organizational climate variables for 4.448, with a significance value of 0.001. That is, organizational climate has a significant influence on job satisfaction. T test results on the variable compensation for 5.635, with a significance value of 0.002. That is, compensation has a significant influence on job satisfaction. F test results for 19.198, with a significance value of 0.000. That is, the organizational climate and compensation together have a significant influence on job satisfaction. The R2 result value is 0.292 or 29.2%. This figure explains that the organizational climate and compensation influence on job satisfaction at 29.2%. Key words: organizational climate, compensation, job satisfaction.
