Abstract

VITA KUSUMA WARDHANI, The Correlation Between Store Atmosphere With Purchase Intention At Indomaret Siaga Raya Branch On RW 01 Residents Kelurahan Pejaten Barat Kecamatan Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta. Studies Program Commerce Education, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, June 2012. The research was conducted at RW 01 Residents Kelurahan Pejaten Barat Kecamatan Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, for four months from March 2012 until June 2012. The research method used is survey method with the correlational approach. The population in this study are Residents of RW 01 Kelurahan Pejaten Barat Kecamatan Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta., whereas The possible populations were Residents of RT 012 which they age is about 25 years until 45 years about 70 residents. The technique which is used in gathering the sample was simple random sampling about 58 residents. To capture data from these two variables are used questionnaire Likert scale models for store atmosphere (variable X) and purchase intention (Variable Y). Before the instrument is used tested the validity for both variables. For variable X, from 38 points statement after statement validated there are 4 points that drop invalid, while meeting the criteria or a valid statement consists of 34 points. For variable Y, From 42 points statement after statement validated contained 5 points that drop invalid, while meeting the criteria or invalid items comprised 37 statements. Reliability calculation of both variables using Cronbach alpha formula. The results of the X variable reliability of 0.882 and the reliability of variable Y at 0.90. These results prove that the instrument is reliable. Test requirements analysis of the normality test error of estimated regression of Y on X to produce Lcount liliefors test = 0,0749, while the Ltable for n = 58 at 0.05 significant level is 0.1163. Because the Lcount < Ltable then an error estimate of Y on X is normally distributed. The resulting regression equation is Ŷ = 23,74 + 0.89 X. From test significance regression produces Fcount > Ftable, which is 85,55> 4.02, meaning that the regression equation is significant. Testing linearity of regression produces Fcalculated <Ftable is 0,72 < 1.87, so it was concluded that the linear equation regreasi. Correlation coefficient of Pearson Product Moment generating rxy = 0,782, then performed the test significance correlation coefficient using the t test and the resulting tcount = 9,374 and Ttable = 1,671. It can be concluded that the correlation coefficient rxy = 0,782 is significant. The coefficient of determination obtained for 61,08% which shows that 61,08% of the variation of purchase intention is determined by the store atmosphere.
