Abstract
ABSTRACT The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesiacommonlyabbreviatedas Kemhan RIis a ministry within the territory of the Indonesian Government specifically in charge of defense affairs. Kemhan is a special ministry institutionwhich could beseen from its personnel, which consists of theState Civil Apparatus (ASN) and the militarypersonnel (both land, sea and air). This research was conductedwithin four bureausat the Ministry of Defense ASNas of(Civil Service Bureau, Administrative Bureau, Legal Bureau and Planning Bureau), Inspectorate General (IG) and Defense Facility Agency (Baranahan) with a population of 496 people and using Slovin formulato gain a sample from 221 people. The sampling techniquethat were used isa simple random sampling technique. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaires using a 5-point Likert scale to measure 51 indicators. The analysis techniquethat were usedis Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the AMOS 24.0 program to calculate the effect of each variable. The results revealed that organizational culture and career development have a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, career development has no significant effect on job satisfaction, job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, organizational culture has a positive effect and significant to organizational commitment mediated by job satisfaction, and career development has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment mediated by job satisfaction.
