Abstract

Anna Lorie Martha Sinaga, 2020; Effect of Compensation and Workload on Employee Job Satisfaction at Best Western Jakarta Hotels. Thesis, Jakarta: Concentration in Human Resources, Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Jakarta State University. The purpose of this study are: To find out 1) Description of changes in compensation, workload, and job satisfaction on employees of Best Western Jakarta Hotels, 2) The effect of compensation on employee job satisfaction at Best Western Jakarta Hotels, 3) Effect of workload on job satisfaction of Hotel employees Best Western Jakarta, 4) The compensation and workload research model can predict job satisfaction among employees of the Best Western Jakarta Hotel. This research was conducted on 136 employees of two branches of the Best Western Hotel Jakarta. Data collection techniques using survey methods is by distributing questionnaires which are then processed with SPSS 23. This research uses descriptive and explanatory analysis. The results of the regression show that there is a positive and significant effect between compensation on employee job satisfaction, there is a negative and significant effect between workload on employee satisfaction, and the compensation and workload research model can predict employee job satisfaction at Best Western Jakarta Hotels with Fcount> Ftable (49,217> 3.06) and significance (0,000 <0.05). R2 value or coefficient of determination in the study amounted to 0.417 or 41,7%. This shows that compensation and workload give contribution to job satisfaction on employees at Best Western Hotel Jakarta by 41,7%. Keywords : Compensation, Workload, Job Satisfaction
