Abstract
ABSTRACT ERYS GUSTIANA. The relationship between the Work Stress of Organizational Commitment On Employees Secretariat General of the Ministry of Education and Culture. Thesis, Jakarta: Economics Educational Program, Department of Economics, State University of Jakarta, May 2016. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between work stress with organizational commitment to the employees of the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Education and Culture. This research was conducted for three months starting in March 2016 until May 2016. The method used is survey method with the correlational approach. The population in this study were part of household servants and protocols which amounts to 121 employees. According to the table and sample population with a level of misunderstanding 5% then obtained a sample of 89 employees using techniques proportionally based on tenure. X variable data on job stress is the primary data in the form of questionnaires and Y variables on organizational commitment is the primary data in the form of a questionnaire. Test requirements analysis done is to find the regression equation obtained was Y = 76,715 - 0,368X. Normality test results Liliefors produce and L count = 0,084, L table = 0,094 at the significance level (a) = 0,05 to the number of samples (n) 89. Because L count = (0,084) < L table = (0,094) then the variables X and Y have normal distribution. Testing the hypothesis with a significance test of regression field of F count (4,69) > Ftable (3,96), which means a significant regression equation. Produce regression linearity test of F count (0,84) < Ftable (1,73) so Fcount < Ftable it can be concluded that the model is a linear regression equation. Product moment correlation coefficient = -0,226 produce rcount . T-test produces t count (-2,17) < ttable (-1,987). Thus it can be stated correlation coefficient r xy = -0,226 is significant. The coefficient of determination obtained for 5,12% indicates that 5.12% organizational commitment variable determined by the stress of work and the remaining 94,88% influenced by other variables not examined. Based on the results of this study concluded that there is a negative and significant relationship between work stress with organizational commitment to the employees of the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Education and Culture. Keywords: Work Stress, Organizational Commitment.
