Abstract

ABSTRACT LYDIA OKTAVIANI. The Different Organizational Commitment of Married and Unmarried Employee At The Head-Office of PT Jasa Raharja (Persero). Skripsi. Jakarta: Concentration in Office Administration Education. Study Program of Economics Education. Department of Economics and Administration. State University of Jakarta. 2012. This research held at the head-office of PT Jasa Raharja (Persero), Kuningan, Jakarta on April until June 2012. The purpose of this research is to get a right knowledge (authentic, exact, valid) and trustable (reliable, and based on reality) about the different organizational commitment of married and unmarried employee. The method that used in this research is nonexperimentally method with comparative approach. The population in this research is the 236 employees of the head-office of PT Jasa Raharja (Persero). From all of this, 199 employees were married and the rest 37 employees were unmarried. The sample that took from the population of the employee of the head-office of PT Jasa Raharja (Persero) are 142 employees, that 120 employees were married and 22 employees were unmarried. In normality experiment with lilliefors formula for variable X 1 , gets L max = 0,0739, L table for n = 120 with significant value 0,05 is 0,0809. L (0,0809 > 0,0739). So, can be concluded that the data is distributed normally. Beside, for variable X 2 , gets L o max = 0,1091, L table table for n = 22 with significant value 0,05 is 0,1900. L table > L (0,1900 > 0,1091). So, can be concluded that the data is distributed normally. Next, based on the value of homogeny experiment with F experiment, gets F o count = 1,37 and F table (0,05; 21/119) > L = 1,65, so 1,65 > 1,37 (F > F ). From all of this, can be concluded that both of sample from organizational commitment variable had homogent data. For the hypothesis, based on the value of independent-t-test using pooled varian, gets t count count = 9,782, and with dk = 140 and significant value (a) 0,05 then t = 1,96, so 1,96 < 9,782 (t Table < t ). From all of this, can be concluded that there is a different organizational commitment significantly between married employee and unmarried employee. Based on this research can be concluded that there is a different organizational commitment significantly between married employee and unmarried employee.
