Abstract

FELICIA MARTHEN, The Correlation between Self-Efficacy and Self-Regulation in Learning of Students Class X Accounting Program at SMK Negeri 16 Jakarta. Thesis, Jakarta : Concentration in Accounting Education, Study Program of Economics Education, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, in June 2012. This study aims to obtain empirical data, valid, and reliable on the correlation between self-efficacy and self-regulation in learning of students. The study was conducted over three months from March 2012 to May 2012. The method used is survey method with the correlational approach. With a population of as many as 77students then taken as many as 65 samples. The sampling was based on the determination of the sample table of a given population with a standard error of 5%. The sampling technique in this study is a simple random technique. To capture the data variables questionnaire used Likert scale models for self-efficacy (X variable) and self-regulation in learning (Y variable). Before the instrument is used, tested the construct validity for the X variable and Y variable. The results of 40 items X variable declaration that has been validated as much as 29 statement items were valid, and the remaining were 11 drop items. The results of reliability by using Alpha Cronbach formula for the X Variable is 0.871. The results of 40 items Y variable declaration that has been validated as much as 31 statement items were valid, and the remaining were 9 items drop. The results of reliability by using Alpha Cronbach formula for the variable Y is 0.9107. Simple linear regression equation is Y=39.19+0.744X. Requirement analysis test showed that the error estimates of regression Y on X is normally distributed. This is evidenced by the calculations which show that Lcount (0.0610)_Ltable (0.1099) using the Liliefors test at significant level (a)=0.05. Significance regression test results obtained Fcount (86.299)> Ftable (4.00) which states the regression is mean. Linearity test results obtained Fcount(1.751)<Ftable(1.89) which indicates that the regression model used is linear. The correlation coefficients are calculated using the Product Moment formula is rxy=0.7605 while the results obtained from tests of significance is tcount(9.2965)>ttable(1.67), these conclude that there is a significant correlation between self-efficacy and self-regulation in learning of students accounting program at SMK Negeri 16 Jakarta. The calculation of the coefficient of determination showed 57.84% variation in Y variables are determined by X variables. Research conclusion says that there is a positive correlation between self-efficacy and self-regulation in learning of students class X accounting program at SMK Negeri 16 Jakarta.
